meet our fosters

Roxie is a 20-month-old Goldendoodle who was surrendered to our rescue after living most of her previous, life inside a 32 "crate. She weighs around 40 pounds, though she's a bit on the slimmer side. Full of energy, Roxie is excelling at crate training and loves to play, goof around, and keep busy. Her favorite things so far include spending time with other dogs, snuggling, and playing with toys. Roxie also seems to enjoy the grooming process, particularly any part that involves attention. Roxie has taken liking to her obedience training sessions with her foster mom.

Meredith is a 3-4 year old doodle mix that is looking for her forever family. Meredith came to us from a local animal shelter after they noted that she had some kennel reactivity. Meredith is a little overweight but working towards a healthy weight of 33-35lbs. Meredith is looking for a home with no children or other dogs to spend the rest of her forever. She struggles with confidence and needs someone that understands herding tendencies and someone that has a lot of patience and tends to live in a quiet environment. She is a very sweet and loving girl once she feels safe somewhere but does have some fear reactivity when something startles her. So far we have noticed she is not a fan of storms or loud noises but if given time to calm down, she returns to the sweet and loving girl that her foster family knows she is at heart.

Woody is a 2-year-old Irish Setter/Poodle mix, also known as an "Irishdoodle." This slim, shy guy is still learning to trust and can be a bit nervous. He recently came into our rescue with a severe ear infection that caused him significant pain and discomfort. After a thorough grooming and exam, it’s clear he’s had a rough past. Despite this, he’s shown signs of being crate trained and hasn’t marked anything in his environment. Woody deserves a loving home where he can finally experience what kindness and affection truly mean.

Tractor Trailer "Treasure" is a 4-year-old gentle giant, as sweet and lovable as he is large! Weighing in at 97 pounds, he is by far our biggest and heaviest foster to date. Although he could stand to shed a few pounds, Treasure is a true "Certified Good Boy!" He loves being around his family, no matter who they may be, and gets along well with dogs, cats, adults, and children. According to his previous owners, he enjoys playing ball and snuggling. Treasure is crate trained, housebroken, and has impeccable manners

Osita is a 6-year-old female Chihuahua mix seeking an experienced family familiar with the breed. She was surrendered to our rescue along with two other non-poodle dogs. Osita only understands Spanish and has never been outdoors. Her rehoming came after her family remodeled their home and decided they no longer wanted all their pets. Because she was the most timid and fearful, they chose to rehome her and her sister.
Osita has spent her first several months in foster care with her sister and is still learning to trust people. She is 100% potty pad trained, as she had never been outside before joining our rescue. Osita would thrive in a quiet, understanding home where her past trauma is respected, and her journey toward trust and comfort can continue

Layla is a 6-year-old female Chihuahua mix who was surrendered to our rescue along with two other non-poodle dogs. She is learning to trust her foster family much faster than her sister Osita. Layla now eagerly anticipates her foster family’s presence, especially at mealtime. She has started allowing her foster mom to hold and cuddle her, but only on Layla’s terms. When she’s had enough, she retreats to her kennel to have some alone time.
Layla needs a calm, understanding home that recognizes the nuances of the fearful Chihuahua breed. Having spent her first several months in foster care with her sister, she’s still working on building trust with people. Layla is 100% potty pad trained, as she had never been outside before joining our rescue. She would thrive in a quiet, compassionate home where her past experiences are respected, and she can continue her journey toward comfort and trust.

Matilda is a 10-month-old Doodle mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit. Rescued from a high-kill shelter for being hard to read, she has proven to be an incredibly smart, fun-loving, and amusing girl. Matilda has special needs due to her limited vision and hearing, but that doesn't stop her from being an absolute joy. She eagerly anticipates "snuggle time" every evening when her foster dad comes home.
Matilda thrives in a home filled with plenty of toys—especially those with textures and squeakers. In her foster home, she enjoys dragging the toy box to the center of the room and diving into it, carefully sorting through each toy until she finds the perfect one. She’s crate trained and housebroken, making her a well-behaved companion. Matilda is ready for a loving home where she can continue to blossom and bring happiness to her new family.
